Source The Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Power Grid is supplying power to TEDA. The Power Grid of TEDA is one part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Power Grid. Currently, the power of TEDA is supplied through the Taibao 220K station, the Poyang Road 220KV substation and the Mengganghou 220KV substation.

Capacity With two 220KV, three 110KV and eleven 35KV substations, TEDA has developed a power grid of 110KV, 35KV and 10KV. The grid has a capacity to supply power of 650,000 KVA and its annual power supply totals 2.2 billion KW per hour.

Mode To ensure the reliable and continued power supply to the enterprises, TEDA supplies electricity to users in a double return and closed circuit. To those users with high demands or special requirements of power supply, TEDA may supply power with special lines.
Except for the planned power cut or unexpected blackouts, TEDA guarantees 24-hour non-stop power supply of 35KV and 10KV to the users.
To those users whose total installed capacity of transformers is larger than 100KVA, the 10KV power is supplied. If the conditions are available, the low voltage power can be supplied.
To those users whose total installed capacity of transformers is larger than 3,000KVA, the power of 35KV or 10KV is supplied.

Frequency
The power supply frequency of TEDA is 50HZ+/-0.2HZ.

Voltage To the 35KV users, the variation in voltage is within +5% and -5% of the rated voltage.
To the 10KV users, the variation in voltage is within+7% and -7% of the rated voltage.
To the low voltage lighting users, the variation in voltage is within +5% and -10% of the rated voltage.

Long-term Planning
In the year of 2010, TEDA 220KV substation will be completed in the west part of TEDA, which will definitely enhance the stability of power supplying and balancing capacity of TEDA.
The long-term total capacity is expected to reach 1.07 million KVA.

Notes1: From 0.90, every reduction of 0.01 in power factor will be charged an extra rate ( of the summation of the basic electricity rate, rush hour rate, valley hour rate and normal hour rate).

4.Charges on the Losses of Cables and Transformers

Electricity meters shall be installed on the boundary of various properties. Otherwise property owners shall be responsible for any active or reactive losses of the transformer as well as cable losses.

Users of high voltage electricity shall be metered according to the high side figure. When a consensus is reached between the user and the supplier and the cost for transformer losses is included, users can also be metered according to the low side figure. Specific implementation shall strictly follow state regulations concerning the verification and administration of metering indicators.

Note 1: Fund for the Central Reservoir Area of Three Gorges Project: Besides metered electricity rate, users (resident users excluded) shall be charged an extra 0.007 yuan/KWH as Fund for the Central Reservoir Area of Three Gorges Project. The Fund will be merged into electricity rate.

Note 2. Extra public utility fee is also ocvered by the price listed above. Details: 0.022 yuan for residents, 0.043 yuan for non-residential lighting and commerce, 0.029 yuan for large-scale industry and 0.039 yuan for unconventional industry.
