In the industrial estate of TEDA, a central heating system is adopted to supply common users steam for production use and hot water for heating. At present, the length of TEDA's heating pipeline has been 287 kilometers and 79 heat-exchanging stations are available for the use of 80% of the entire TEDA. |
| Capacity |
There are five heat plants in TEDA: Guohua Heat and Power Plant, No.2 Heat Plant, No.3 Heat Plant, No.4 Heat Plant, No.5 Heat Plant and. The total boiler capacity is 1630 tons/hour. |
| Technology Data |
Heating Temperature:The hot water supply in TEDA is designed based on the temperature of 125oC-80oC and the facilities are chosen based on the temperature of 110oC-70oC. The low temperature of water for heating ranges from 80oC to 60 oC.
Heating Season: November 1 of each year to March 31 of the next year
Steam Pressure£ºGenerally,TEDA supplies users steam of 0.8MPA for production use. Besides, TEDA supplies industrial steam of 1.0MPA-1.2MPA to the users close to heat sources.

| Boilers of the Enterprises |
The enterprises are allowed to build their own boilers if TEDA's heat supply facilities cannot meet the special pressure requirements of the enterprises. However, the boilers can be constructed only with the approval of the Environment Protection Bureau, Public Utilities Bureau, Construction Development Bureau, Fire Department, and Heat Supply Office of TEDA. The fuel used in the boilers of the enterprises should be environment friendly. The enterprises are not allowed to construct coal-fired boilers. |
Fees and charges:
TEDA adopts a central heating system. Users can be supplied with <0.8 MPA saturated vapor. Users with specific needs can be supplied with >0.8 MPA saturated vapor and charged accordingly. Users can also be supplied with heating-used vapor and bath-used geothermal water of 50oC (measured at the inlet end). Heat users shall pay the following fees:
Users shall pay Metered Heat Rate according to actual consumed amount on a monthly basis. The standard is as follows:

Note1: When users consume less than 40% of the amount of vapor provided in the contracts, they are charged for as 40%.
Notes2: TEDA's heating period is from Nov 1st of this year to Mar 31st of the next year.
All users shall pay for geothermal water consumed according to meter reading.
