TEDA Post-Doctor Scientific Research Working Station

In May, 4th, 1999, approved by the State HR department, TEDA Enterprise Post-Doctor Scientific Research Working Station, which management office is combined with the Human Resource Development Section of TEDA Human Resource Bureau, with sub-stations in the companies. With approval, there are about 24 companies have their own sub-stations, including Zhong Huan Sanjin¡¢Motorola¡¢TEDA Biomedical Engineering¡¢Samsung Electronics¡¢Chirachem Laboratories¡¢Novozymes (China) Biotechnology, with 6 post-doctors from the station, and 22 in the station. Moreover, Motorola is the first foreign invested company with post-doctor research in China.

After establishment, the working station is playing an important role in companies, for instance, Dr. Li Jiping, in Tianjin Zhong Huan Sanjin Co.,Ltd. has completed his research project, which benefits the company so on. Some sub-stations in Motorola China etc. have made remarkable progress in scientific research. Led by the good examples of sub-stations, more high-tech companies in TEDA such as Hualida Biological Engineering are applying for the sub-station.

For many people, the enterprise post-doctor is a new-merged idea. Actually, instead of being a degree, or special technology profession, or executive profession, Post-Doctor is referred to a kind of experience, that is to say, the scientific research experience of a PH.D, in certain period of time. The Post-Doctor system of China was established in July, 1985, after our opening and reform strategy, with experiences from other countries, and the actual situation of China.

Enterprise Post-Doctor refer to the cooperation program between companies and Post-Doctor Working Station, which recruits and trains post-doctors, and shares the research achievements in accordance with the agreement. The companies, advanced colleges, and research institutions are organic-union with mutual benefit, in which the company provides research project for the post-doctor, as well as the research expenses, working and living condition. Therefore, the company plays the main role in the post-doctor working, and in principle shall own the intellectual property of the research achievement.

TEDA sincerely hopes to have cooperation opportunity with the post-doctor working station all over China, to recruit, and train post-doctor talents, and also invites the eligible PH.D to work in TEDA enterprise post-doctor working stations.
