Local driving license application
You can get a Chinese local driving license by attending a local driver's training school.
If you have already got an international driving license or a driving license from a foreign country, you can obtain a local driving license by following the procedures listed below:
1. Fill one piece of Application Form for Driving License and two pieces of Driver Management Form.
2. Bring your passport for checking and provide one copy.
3. Bring your Residence Card for checking (more than one-year's residence can be accepted by applying for a formal license).
4. Bring your driving license issued by a foreign country, Hong Kong, Macaw, Taiwan area, or an international license for checking. Provide a copy as well as a translation version (signed by the interpreter and sealed by the translation company).
5. Provide a qualified Checking Report for Driving Adaptability.

Location & Geology
Located close to the Bohai Sea and adjacent to Beijing, Tianjin is provided with advantageous conditions for living and business.
Tianjin is geographically located between latitude 38∼42∩and 45∼15∩N and longitude 116∼42∩-118∼04∩E, to northeast of North China Plain and at the backward position of Haihe River, with the Bohai Sea locates to her east and Mountain Yan to her north. For the Tianjin area, it is 189 km long from south to north and 117 km long from east to west. The total area size is 11919.7 km2. Tianjin is a strategic city leading to China's capital of Beijing, which is 137km away from Tianjin downtown.
The geological features can be divided into four kinds as mountains hills, plains and seashores, in which plains dominant.
Climate
Tianjin has a warm temperate and semi-humid continental monsoon climate with annual average temperature 12.3⊥. In July, the hottest month, the average temperature is 26⊥⊥ with the highest recorded temperature 39.7⊥⊥ on 4th, Jul. 1972; the average temperature of the coldest Jan. is -4⊥⊥ with the lowest temperature record -22.9⊥⊥ in 1966. The average annual rainfall is 561.3mm.
