Education:TianjinInternationalSchool is a private school sponsored by MTI, Inc., an American non-profit corporation, since 1986. In cooperation with the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, the school offers an English-language based Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 program for expatriate students of all religions, races, and national backgrounds. TIS offers an American curriculum and system of instruction that is college preparatory in both scope and level of difficulty. TIS has been accredited with Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1992. Currently it is fully accredited through 2004. WASC is an accrediting organization based in Burlingame, California, USA.
Tuition and fees:

Curriculum:
Junior Kindergarten: The junior kindergarten parallels the senior kindergarten in scope, but it is less academic, focusing more on structured play, free play, and other activities designed to facilitate learning while having fun. Kindergarten: The kindergarten program provides initial learning experiences in language development, number concepts, creative skills, and social and physical development. Using concrete experiences, pupils are given the building blocks for perceiving, thinking, and problem solving.
General Elementary: The curriculum of the elementary division uses traditional teacher-directed study/learning activities in Bible, language arts, science, social studies, Chinese, math, physical education, art, and music.
Secondary Curriculum: The fundamental emphasis of the secondary curriculum is on English, mathematics, Bible, social studies, and science. Elective courses may include computers, art, drama, choral music, physical education, and foreign languages.

She prepares students for British examinations at age 16 and 18 and also Standard Assessment Tasks (SATs) at age 7, 11 and 14. Curriculum TianjinRegoInternationalSchool offers a broad and balanced education, which, while closely following the British National Curriculum, is relevant to the international community. Additionally, students study the Chinese language from the age of four. All children at Rego are assessed continuously against National Curriculum targets as published in the documents of England and Wales. This is in addition to school-based assessments. 4.TEDA International School Tianjin (TIST) Tel: 86-22-28592001 Website: www.tistschool.org E-mail: tist@public.tpt.tj.cn Founded in 1994 TEDA International School, Tianjin (TIST), provides an exceptional educational opportunity for the children of the expanding and culturally diverse Tianjin international community. The primary school of TIST ranges from Nursery/Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5, and for pre-nursery children, ages one through three, they offer twice-a-week playgroup. Its secondary school consists of Grades 6 through 12. In July 2002 they received authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to implement both the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. So, now they are officially an IB world school.

1. Capital fees are intended for the ongoing capital improvement of the school. 2. There is a 20% discount on the tuition fee for the third child in one family attending the school, and a 30% discount on the tuition fees for the fourth and subsequent children in one family attending the school. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS: Companies which join TIST as Associate Members through the purchase of reserved seats at $15,000 per seat will receive priority for enrollment, (provided all other admissions criteria are met.) The reserved seats will be valid for a period of five years and are transferable through the school on a pro rata basis, pending availability of an interested third party. As an additional Associate Member benefit, the Capital Fee will be reduced by $1,500 a year for a period of ten years, ($15,000 total).
