You can get a Chinese local driving license by attending a local driver's training school. If you have already got an international driving license or a driving license from a foreign country, you can obtain a local driving license by following the procedures listed below:

1. Fill one piece of Application Form for Driving License and two pieces of Driver Management Form.

2. Bring your passport for checking and provide one copy.

3. Bring your Residence Card for checking (more than one-year's residence can be accepted by applying for a formal license).

4. Bring your driving license issued by a foreign country, Hong Kong, Macaw, Taiwan area, or an international license for checking. Provide a copy as well as a translation version (signed by the interpreter and sealed by the translation company).

5. Provide a qualified Checking Report for Driving Adaptability.

6. To pass the examination of the local traffic regulations (with the help of your interpretor); Drivers with less than three year's driving experience shall take a practical examination on the road.

7. Provide your qualified examination report.

8. Provide your present colored photo without hat on.
