The Third High-Speed Road to Be Built between Downtown Tianjin and the TNCD

According to related departments, a new high-speed road, Jinbin High-Speed Road, will be built between downtown Tianjin and the TNCD. It will commence its construction in the later half of this year and be finished and open to traffic in Jun. of 2008.

It is learned that now there are two expressways linking downtown Tianjin to the TNCD, namely Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway and Jinbin Expressway, both of which are located to the north of the Haihe River. Jinbin High-Speed Road will become the third high-speed passage connecting downtown Tianjin and the TNCD. Situated to the south of the Haihe River, the planned Jinbin High-Speed Road will start from the intersection of South Dagu Road and Outer Ring Road, pass Shuanggang, Xianshuigu, Gegu and Jinnan Development Zone of Jinnan District, Xincheng Town of Tanggu District, Xinzhuang Industrial Park and Nanjiang Bulk Logistics Center, and end at Haibin Expressway. The planned Jinbin High-Speed Road is a 39.9-km dual eight-lane carriageway, with a 100-meter wide forest belt on both sides. It is estimated that nine interchanges and 12 passages will be built along the road.
