Recently Taiding (Tianjin) Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. completed its construction and commenced its production in the TEDA Hangu Modern Industrial Park.

With a registered capital of 50 million yuan and a total investment of 100 million yuan, Taiding (Tianjin) Environment Technology Co., Ltd. was co-established by Jiin Yeeh Ding Enterprise Corp. of Taiwan, Shanghai ICON Electronic System Engineering Co., Ltd., and Tianjin LvTong Environmental Protection Engineering Equipments Development Co., Ltd. Located in the TEDA Hangu Modern Industrial Park and occupying a land of 30,000 m2, the new company specializes in the efficient retrieval of precious metal in waste electronic components with a nonpollutive dissolution technology, which is featured by the recycle of chemical etch, and a high precision electrochemistry purification technology.

With a registered capital of 350 million NTD, Jiin Yeeh Ding Enterprise Corp. of Taiwan, one of the three parent companies, was founded in 1997 and headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan. As a company engaged in the retrieval and processing of electronic wastes, it has obtained the license for the disposal of the Class I Type A wastes of Taiwan and reached a relatively high technical level in the retrieval of printed circuit boards.

Recently a grand ceremony was held in TEDA for the 20th Anniversary for the investment of Schneider Electric SA in China.

Since Schneider Electric SA set up its first JV in China in 1987, its investment and business have grown rapidly in China. By the end of 2006, Schneider Electric had accumulatively invested 2.54 billion yuan in China, built up four subsidiaries, 32 regional offices, 20 production facilities, one learning institute, two global R&D centers, and one lab. Schneider now boasts nearly 9,400 employees, 500 distributors, and a nationwide sales network. Through actively establishing partnerships with JVs, business cooperators, distributors, integrators, and suppliers, it not only creates a win-win situation but offers tens of thousands of employment opportunities. Recently, TEDA sees the solemn ceremony of celebrating the 10th anniversary of SEW-EURODRIVE (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and SEW Industrial Gears (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., which is also the inauguration ceremony of SEW Precision Machines (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.

Established in 1931, Germany-based SEW-EURODRIVE is a world's leader in manufacturing gears and frequency inverters. It enjoys great reputation in the global market of drive systems. Since it entered China's market in 1997, SEW-EURODRIVE has set up its Asia-Pacific regional manufacturing base in TEDA and established manufacturing facilities and assembly centers in Suzhou, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Wuhan, and Xi'an. So far, SEW has made investment of USD$ 400 million in China. Its annual sales income from producing gears for deceleration is 3 billion RMB yuan.

As SEW-EURODRIVE's only Asia-Pacific manufacturing center, SEW-EURODRIVE (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. uses a full range of imported equipment and technology and provides diversified good quality industrial gears, gearmotors, and frequency inverters to the customers from home and abroad, in line with the standard of SEW-EURODRIVE in Germany. In this Sept, SEW Precision Machines (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., the 110,000-square-meter factory as the third phase, starts production and will thus further enhance the production capacity of SEW-EURODRIVE (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.

It is learned that SEW-EURODRIVE has decided to set up its Asia-Pacific headquarter in Tianjin and has been actively preparing to establish its fourth factory to manufacture large gears for deceleration.

Recently, the opening ceremony of the second phase of San-Ei (Tianjin) Auto Parts Co., Ltd. was held in the West Zone of TEDA. With a total investment of USD$ 5.72 million, San-Ei (Tianjin) Auto Parts Co., Ltd. covers an area of 17,069 square meters. It mainly produces, processes, sells, packages and distributes automotive parts and components and materials for packing products, besides providing related information services.
