| China's First Overseas-funded Consumer Credit Management Company Chooses TEDA as Its Headquarter in China |
Recently, Credit First Guarantee (China), China's first overseas-funded consumer credit management company set up its office in the Financial Street of TEDA and announced Tianjin would be its headquarter in China.
With a registered capital of 600 million RMB yuan, Credit First Guarantee (China) is funded by the investment banks of Japan, Hong Kong, and other countries or regions. It is planning to develop its business in 72 cities across China in this year. Its credit management service network is expected to cover about 300 cities once completed.

| Nestle Purina Open Its First Pet Food Factory in China |

With the first-phase investment of 80 million yuan, Nestle Purina PetCare Tianjin Factory, the first pet food factory of Nestle group of Switzerland, opened its business in the West Zone of TEDA.
Nestle group is the largest pet food producer in the world, accounting for 24.5% of the global pet food market shares. Nestle group entered China's pet food market early in 1985, set up Nestle Purina PetCare Company in 2001 and began to sell its products in China in 2003. With the establishment of the pet food factory in Tianjin, the production of the Purina products in China will be completely localized. It also marks that Nestle ends its history of importing materials from abroad and packaging products domestically in the Chinese market.
So far Nestle group has set up 22 factories and one R&D center in China. Among them five factories are located in Tianjin, with an accumulative investment of over one billion yuan. Its products involve mineral water, breakfast oatmeal, ice cream, pet food, etc.

| TEDA Hospital Joins Hands with Hannover |
Recently, TEDA Hospital signed a sister hospital agreement with the Attached Hospital of Hannover Medical School. TEDA Hospital served as the venue of the signing ceremony and then became Tianjin's first hospital joining hands with a German counterpart.
The world famous Hannover Medical School is Germany's leader in Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Surgery.
According to the agreement, the two hospitals shall exchange visiting scholars and the Attached Hospital of Hannover Medical School shall annually train several clinicians for each department of TEDA Hospital while mainly focusing on the cooperation in Orthopedics.
In recent years, TEDA Hospital has been strengthening its exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries and constantly applying new technology to clinical practice. In Tianjin, TEDA Hospital is a leader in technologies in first-aid, minimally invasive gynecological surgery, and artificial joint replacement.

| West Zone of TEDA Starts to Take Shape as an Eco-industrial Park |
Thanks to the development of over 3 years, the West Zone of TEDA has now infrastructure facilities basically good enough to meet the demands of investors. By the end of year 2006, 4.8 billion RMB yuan has been devoted to the development of the West Zone, with 4 billion RMB yuan from the government and 800 million RMB yuan of non-governmental funding.
In terms of investment promotion, so far 56 enterprises have made investment in the West Zone, and 8 of them are the world's leading companies. Eighteen enterprises in the West Zone have started production and over twenty are under construction. The total investment has reached nearly US$3 billion. There are 6 projects, each of which has an investment of over US$ 100 million and 16 projects with investment above US$ 30 million each. The investment of a project on average has exceeded US$ 500 per square meter.
With regard to transportation facilities, the West Zone has completed roads of 1,210,000 square meters, bridges of nearly 300,000 square meters, and over 170 kilometer pipelines for rainwater and sewage disposal.
As for energy supply, the services of water, power, gas and heat are all available. CNC, China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile have all set up their offices in the Investment Service Center of the West Zone of TEDA and started to provide telecommunication or network services to the users in the West Zone.
As to public buildings, currently, there is an investment service center in the West Zone, as a sub-center of TEDA Investment Service Center. This center, integrating the services of government, energy suppliers and business offices, is an important platform for TEDA to exercise administrative power and provide intensive and efficient services to enterprises in the West Zone. Most of the departments of the Administrative Commission of TEDA have already opened their service desks and sent staff to work in the Center and thus effectively help those enterprises in the West Zone with handling relevant issues.

| TEDA's Investment Promotion in this January: Well Done! |
In the first month of 2007, 17 new overseas-funded enterprises were given go-ahead signal by TEDA to register and 22 existing ones to increase their investment, with their investment volume, contracted investment volume, and actually funded investment volume adding up to 413 million dollars, 315 million dollars and 217 million dollars respectively. Among the above indicators, the contracted investment volume and actually funded investment volume of TEDA were up by 17.5% and 35.6% respectively over the same period of the previous year. As for domestic-funded enterprises, 64 new ones were registered, with a total registered capital of 327 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%.
It is learned that of all the overseas-funded enterprises newly approved in this January, 11 have a respective investment of over 10 million dollars and five are invested by multinationals, among which Biolife (Tianjin) Food Technology, Tianjin Kangpusen Biological Engineering, IEFI (Tianjin) Chemicals, and Credit First Guarantee (China) all fit in the leading industries of TEDA. Of those enterprises which have increased their investment, two are Fortune 500 Companies and five are multinationals. Star enterprises like Toyotsu Auto Parts, Tianjin Guofeng Mold Technology, and Markor International Furniture have increased their investment multiple times.

| TEDA's Mobile Phone Output Saw a Y-O-Y Growth of 45% to 100 Million |
The renowned city of mobile phones, TEDA registered another historical breakthrough in mobile phone production last year, with a predicted year-round output of 100 million sets, or, a year-on-year growth of well over 45%.
Thanks to TEDA, one forth of China's and one tenth of the world's mobile phone output are now labeled "Made in Tianjin", where mobile phone industry alone accounts for one third of its manufacturing aggregate. TEDA is the real-sense business haven for multinational mobile phone giants like Motorola, Samsung, Sanyo, etc. In July, 2006, Motorola (China) Electronics witnessed a milestone event---the birth of its 200,000,000th mobile phone. In October, 2006, Tianjin Samsung Telecom Technology scored a monthly mobile phone output of 4.36 million, breaking the record of four million and ranking among the country's most productive players of its industry.
According to incomplete statistics, in TEDA and its neighborhood, there are over 200 suppliers and processors serving big mobile phone makers like Motorola and Samsung. They are producing over 400 categories of related products, with an annual output value of approximately 20 billion yuan.

| The Sixth International Keitai Forum to be Unveiled in Beijing |
Jointly hosted by TEDA, the Promotion Committee of the International Keitai Forum, and the Haidian District of Beijing, the sixth International Keitai Forum is scheduled to be held in the Haidian District of Beijing from March 26th to 29th, 2007.
The Forum has been held successfully five times with the vigorous support of its Promotion Committee. It is widely recognized as the largest and most authoritative forum of mobile telecommunications industry in Japan, a country with the world's most advanced telecommunications technology, a galaxy of leading producers of mobile phone and related components, and numerous research institutions for mobile telecommunications industry.
