| PPG Coatings (Tianjin) Co.,Ltd. Expands Its Production in TEDA |

PPG Coatings (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. has newly purchased a piece of 60,000 square meter land in TEDA for the construction of its new facility. The construction is expected to start in October.
The new facility will be constructed by phases. It is anticipated that the total investment of the first phase will reach or exceed US$ 15 million. As Airbus makes investment within the New Coastal District of Tianjin,PPG is planning to establish in Tianjin an aircraft coating service center to support the project of Airbus. Since 75% of the world's automobile manufacturers utilize the automotive coatings or technologies of PPG,automotive coatings are also the prominent products produced in PPG's facility in Tianjin. PPG's facility in Tianjin has strengthened its cooperation with the domestic manufacturers that independently make brand autos. The domestic auto manufactures like Xiali,Jili and Chery are now all using the automobile coatings of PPG.
It is learned that last year,PPG's global sales revenue exceeded US$ 10 billion for the first time and the sales revenue of its business in China reached 2 billion yuan. Established in TEDA in 1996,PPG Coatings (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. stands as the first coating manufacturer funded by PPG in China. |

Foseco Refractories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is a solely owned subsidiary and the first refractory facility of Foseco Group in China. It is learned that Foseco Group,which comprises Foseco Steel and Foseco Foundry,has been supplying products to iron and steel enterprises for over 70 years. The group has a leading position in the refractory sector and currently has its operation in over 30 countries. At present the group has provided products to Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation.

Recently Tianjin 712 Communication and Broadcasting Co., Ltd. held a ground-breaking ceremony in West Zone of TEDA. The company is a comprehensive electronic enterprise with a 70-year history. China's first TV was born in this company. In 2004 Tianjin 712 Communication and Broadcasting Co., Ltd. was established by Tianjin Communication and Broadcasting Group Co., Ltd. in line with the modern corporate system. It holds main shares in 12 subsidiaries and shares in two companies. Its business involves telecommunications equipment, data terminal equipment, information network equipment, equipment manufacturing and consumer electronics products.
With a total investment of 1.4 billion yuan, Tianjin 712 Communication and Broadcasting Co., Ltd. will cover an area of 220,000 m2. It mainly specializes in R&D, production and sale of a new generation of mobile communication and digital AV products with independent intellectual property right. The project starts from 2006 and will be finished in 2008. After the completion of the project, it can attain an annual output value of 3.7 billion yuan and a sales income of 3.5 billion yuan, and contribute revenue of 500 million yuan. It will become a first-rate R&D center and manufacturing base for telecommunications and digital AV products in China.

| Tianjin Crane Equipment Co., Ltd. Opens in the West Zone of TEDA |
Recently,Tianjin Crane Equipment Co., Ltd. held its opening ceremony in the West Zone of TEDA.
Initially founded in 1953 in the Chentangzhuang Industrial Park on the south bank of the Haihe River,the Tianjin Crane Equipment Co., Ltd. has already celebrated its 53rd birthday. In answer to the Eastward Expansion strategy of Tianjin's industrial sectors and the accelerated development and opening-up of the Tianjin New Coastal District,the Company decided to invest 208.47 million yuan in the West Zone of TEDA to build a 100,000-square-meter new facility,which will also gain more growth momentum for the company itself. As China's first supplier of electric hoists and hoist cranes,the Company produced the country's earliest electric hoist in 1953 and became a national grade-A enterprise in 1991. As the director-general of Single/Double Girder Hoist Crane Sub-association under the China Crane Association,it supplies more than 10,000 categories of products under over 20 series,mainly represented by electric hoists and electric single/double girder cranes. |

Recently Kumho Tires (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. held a grand opening ceremony in TEDA's West Zone. The company commenced its construction in April of 2005. Boasting a total investment of 246 million dollars and registered capital of 82 million dollars,the company covers an area of around 310,000 m2 and has a construction area of about 110,000 m2 in the first phase. With meridian tires as its main product,the company is expected to produce 5.25 million tires annually. In the next five years it will increase investment and make its annual output reach 10.4 million tires. Kumho Group relocated its tire research institute from its headquarters in South Korea to Tianjin and set up a R&D center in its Tianjin company so as to build a production base with tire research,development and sale combined.
Established in 1960 and headquartered in Gwangju,Kumho Tires Co., Inc. specializes in the production and sale of tires and is a world famous tire producer. It has three facilities in South Korea,with an annual production capacity of 33 million tires.

| TEDA Makes Remarkable Progress in Investment Absorption in the First Half of 2006 |

In the first half of 2006,the investment for enterprises funded by overseas and Hong Kong,Macau,and Taiwan investors,the contractual overseas investment,and the fully funded overseas investment have accumulatively reached 2.766 billion dollars,1.708 billion dollars,and 902 million dollars each in TEDA. The contractual overseas investment and the fully funded overseas investment have rose by 22% and 25% respectively over the same period of last year. And the fully funded overseas investment has attained 56% of its year-end objective,exceeding its normal growth rate. Such two indicators for investment absorption as the contractual overseas investment and the fully funded overseas investment have attained their objective of meeting 50% of the year-end target in the first half of this year. |
