The 2nd Session of International Investment Promotion Forum, 2005   Time:17-18, March 2005 Venue:Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Hotel & Convention Centre Organizer: China International Investment Promotion Agency Investment Promotion Center of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Zone Theme:New Wave of FDI: Opportunities and Challenges           Brief Introduction   The 2nd Session of International Investment Promotion Forum 2005 will be held on March 17-18, 2005 in Tianjin, China, with a view to promoting foreign direct investment for development and strengthening the cooperation between local and international investment promotion agencies. The forum is co-sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of the People¡¯s Republic of China (MOFCOM), Tianjin Municipal Government, Federation of Investment Promotion Agencies of China (FIPAC), and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The theme of the forum is ¡°New Wave of FDI: Opportunities and Challenges¡±. The four sub-themes are: ¡¤ Trends and prospects of FDI; ¡¤ TNCs¡¯ new investment strategies in China; ¡¤ Internationalization of Chinese enterprises: Outward investment strategies and strategic management; ¡¤ Best practice of investment promotion. Senior officials from MOFCOM, Tianjin Municipal government, UNCTAD, UNIDO, WAIPA, experts from local and international IPAs, eminent scholars and business representatives will be invited to the forum and deliver the brilliant speech. Madam Ma Xiuhong, Vice Minister of MOFCOM will give the keynote speech ¡°The 4th Round of Foreign Investment in China¡± at the forum. Professor John H. Dunning, world famous economist, the senior expert in FDI will deliver speech at the forum which will greatly inspire delegates.
