There are more than 300 specialists in the fields of politics, academic, enterprises, and investment. Some influential famous people presented on the seminar represented by Mr. Jan-ake Gustafsson, Chairman of Evaluation Agency for Nobel Price in Physiology or Medicine; Mr. Gerry Weiner, former Secretary of States of Canada, as well more than 20 specialists in the biotechnology fields represented by Academician Liu Yixun, Academician Shen Jiaxiang. They delivered many wonderful speeches on the seminar. Mr. Zhou Qiang, the first Secretary of Central Committee of China Communist Youth League; Mr. Ou Xinqian, the former Economic and Trade Committee of China (current vice Chairman of China Development and Reform Committee); Mr. Li Shenglin, the former vice Mayor of Tianjin (current vice Chairman of China Development and Reform Committee); Mr. Pi Qiansheng, the Standing Member of Tianjin Municipal Committee and Chairman of Binhai New Area Administrative Commission, presented on the seminar, while delivering important reports. The seminar also attracted intention of media, with articles on the newspaper, interviews on central and local televisions as well the broadcasting stations and Internet media. The first seminar encouraged the biotechnology industrial policies, and drove the development of China biotechnology industry by attracting capital, technology and talents domestically and overseas.
