The Investment Promotion Bureau mainly engages in promoting FDI in a professional way, broadening investment channels, exploring new project sources and attracting investors from the industrial and commercial sectors to set up investment projects in TEDA through publicizing the image of TEDA and external contact. It functions in the following aspects:
- (Participating in) planning and arranging professional investor-oriented publicity activities to establish and promote the image of TEDA;
- Establishing and maintaining information channels and the relevant network of investment within the designated area (in terms of regions, industries, and projects) for attracting investment investigation delegations and promoting investment;
- Making plans and proposals of investment activities and working for their implementation;
- Organizing and participating in national and international investment promotion conferences, investment negotiation conferences, seminars, project information release conferences, and investment promotion visits;
- Receiving investment investigation delegations and carrying out the follow-up and liaison work after reception;
- Establishing, coordinating and administrating peripheral investment networks.
