Microelectronics Industrial Park (Xiqing) Click to enter Microelectronics Industrial Park   Geographic Location and Layout of the Park The park is located in Nankou Village, Dasi Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin, near Jingang Highway. It is the one of the newly established industrial parks that is closest to the city center. Located in a windward area of southwest monsoon, the park has relatively high quality air. By combining afforestation and its natural environment, which is beautiful, clean and ecologically balanced, it has initially become an environment-friendly industrial park. The park is 16 km away from the airport, 56 km from Tianjin Port, 15 km from the city center, and 3 km from the outer ring road. Infrastructure Road: The road framework is laid out in a neat square grid. To meet the need of microelectronics industry to transport large scale containers, the planned width between red lines of all major roads in the park is over 20 meters, among which it is 60 meters wide in Edison Road. The turning radius of all the roads is over 20 meters, which can guarantee the free transportation of vehicles carrying 40-feet containers. The total area of completed road in the park reached 400,000 square meters. Sewage system: The park adopts the scientific split flow sewage system to separate rainwater and sewage. A rainwater and sewage pumping station has been built, which has a capacity of discharging 6 tons of rainwater per second and 0.6 tons of sewage per second. Rainfall sewage framework is built along planned roads. Discharging sewage by area and district is employed to guarantee smooth sewage discharge in all areas. At present, 17,000 meters of sewage discharging pipe have been installed. Water supply: Water supply is provided to the city via DN 800 mm pipe through Tianjin water supply pipe network. There is a pressurizing station in the park to guarantee water supply for resident enterprises at the peak of water consumption. With the approval of the Tianjin Municipal Government, daily water supply here can reach 33,000 tons. At present, there is ample water supply since the actual daily water consumption of the enterprises here is less than 2,000 tons per day. According to a sample inspection report on the tap water in Microelectronics Industrial Park by Tianjin Water Quality Testing Center in February, 2001, the water quality is high and conforms to national standard. Power: A 110KV substation is available whose power is supplied through Tianjin's reliable 220KV ring net. At present, the capacity of the park's 110KV substation is 31,500KVA¡Á2, and the ultimate capacity could reach 50,000KVA¡Á3. At present, power consumption of residential enterprises is only 21,000KVA. According to the demand of customers, power could be supplied at three voltage levels: 10KV, 35KV and 110KV. The voltage regulating mode of the 110KV substation is automatic loaded voltage regulating, and the regulating precision of 110KV is 0.1KV, which can effectively guarantee the operation of the enterprises' equipment. Heating: Centralized heating system is adopted. 5,000 meters of heating power pipeline have been installed and a heating power center with boilers of 4¡Á7.8 tons produced by Clayton Industrial Company has been set up, which can cover a heated area of 280,000 square meters. To keep the high quality of its air and surrounding environment, clean sources of energy are employed in the heating supply center. The second heating supply center, which was completed in 2002 and is specialized in steam production, supplies steam with a combination of three boilers of 1¡Á7.8 tons and 2¡Á9.4 tons at the first phase and has an ultimate steam supply capacity of 33.4 tons per hour. Gas: The Microelectronics Industrial Park has the necessary conditions to provide natural gas. Natural gas can be provided to enterprises through pipelines with a daily capacity of 200,000 cubic meters. In addition, it possesses industrial gas transporting pipelines provided by Northern Air Products (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. to transfer high pure special gas to residents in the park. The company provides reliable gas supply to Motorola for chip production. Gas can be supplied through pipes or in cylinders. Northern Air Products (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with the park on the route for gas transportation through pipelines. Greening: The park has a green rate of 35% and an green area of 300,000 square meters. The newly expropriated land to the west of the Microelectronics Industrial Park will be used for the construction of an ecological garden composed of waters, lawn and trees, while its original land features keeping unchanged. The Scientist Century Park, adjacent to Jingang Highway, is situated to the east of Microelectronics Industrial Park and. Occupying an area of 47,000 square meters, it consists of various plants and squares as well as decorated walls and sculptures of scientists from home and abroad, fully manifesting the theme of respecting, upholding and developing science. It greatly promotes the overall outlook of Microelectronics Industrial Park and enables the park to become "an ecological, green and human-focused park." Factory buildings: 100,000 square meters of one-storey and two-storey standard factory buildings have been built, of which 100% have been rented out. 100,000 square meters of new factory buildings are under construction. Prospective residential enterprises can choose to build, buy or rent factory buildings and office buildings. Apartment buildings: The planned bachelor apartment building will occupy 29,000 square meters with a building area of 35,000 square meters. The first phase bachelor apartment building of 7,500 square meters has already been in use. Its second phase is under construction with a building area of 12,000 square meters. Supporting facilities like department stores, restaurants and libraries as well as computer training and entertainment facilities are available here, providing comprehensive service to the residents.
