Brief Introduction

In 2003, TEDA cooperated with Jinnan District of Tianjin and build up the Science & Technology Park of TEDA, which is the extension of TEDA with new functions in  space, industry, management, culture and service.

Tianjin TEDA Scientific Technology Industrial Park Development & Construction Co. Ltd (TTSTIPDC) was established in October, 2003, supported by Tianjin TEDA Investment & Holding Co. Ltd and Tianjin Jinnan District Town Construction Integrative Investment Co. Ltd. The company is funded by 200 million RMB. It works at investing and managing land, energy & infrastructure project construction and marketing management, setting up creative, life, culture common establishment and common business, setting up the third industry, development and management real estate.

Micro-Electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan), TEDA locates in the traffic aisles of the central city area of Tianjin and Binhai New Area. The total Micro-Electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan), TEDA is divided into three levels of development control area, programming area and beginning area. The development control area is 100 square kilometers, the programming area is 50 square kilometers, and the beginning area about 6 square kilometers.

Micro-Electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan), TEDA was founded through international bidding, which means it has incorporated the most advanced experiences and ideas in this field. During the planning process, it aimed to provide an all-inclusive and well functioning green paradise for the investors.

Facilities

1) Road 

The traffic system is planned to be composed of four main roads of 30-50 meters wide, two east-west and the other two north-south, forming a double-cross road network. The secondary roads will be 25 meters wide. All of the roads will be wide enough for 40-feet containers to pass freely.

2) Water Supply

Water used in Micro-electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan) , TEDA, is supplied by Tianjin City Water Supply System, ushered in by two water pipes, 800 mm and 600 mm in diameter respectively. The planned Cuijiamatou water works will satisfy the forward water consumption. Water supply will be guaranteed by a water pressure device installed in the preliminary area for the peak time of water consumption. With the water pipes under each road to form water system, water supply can reach 24,000 tons a day in the planned area.

3) Drainage 

Two systems of drainage are adopted to separate rainwater from sewage. Two pumping stations, with capacity of 7.36 cubic meters and 10.91 cubic meters of water per second respectively, pump rainwater into Xingfu River .

A sewage treatment station of 21 thousand cubic meters of water a day will be built. The recycled water is clean enough to water grassland and decorate miniature landscape, and can be used as low quality industrial water. Sewage pipes are laid under the main road of the Park. Industrial waster water released from the enterprises in the Park must reach the effluent standard. Water resources and environment must be preserved strictly.

4) Power Supply 

Power used in Micro-electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan ) , TEDA, is supplied through Tianjin 's reliable 220KV ring net. A converting station of 110 KV will be built in the planned area, with the capacity of 120,000 KVA. It will be enhanced to 220KV in the future, with the planned capacity of 360,000 KVA. The roads in the Park will be paralleled with electric network of 10KV.

In the first stage, power source of 10KV comes from the existing Beizhakou converting station of 110 KV as well as Balitai converting station of 110 KV. Enterprises using over 3000 KVA should build their own converting stations of 35 KV.

5) Natural Gas Supply

Micro-electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan) , TEDA, will be provided with natural gas, which is ushered in via Ba'er Road from Dagang. A high-and-medium-pressure regulating station and a service station will be built in the Park. Natural gas pipes of medium pressure will be laid along the main roads of the planned area to provide natural gas to the enterprises.

6) Heating Supply 

Terrestrial heat, fuel oil, natural gas as well as other new energy technology will be developed in Micro-electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan) , TEDA, with the strict restriction of coal firing.

Central heating system, combine with self-build by enterprises, is applied. Industrial enterprises are expected to set up their own steam boilers and heat transfer devices based on their productive technology.

7) Telecom Network 

Telecom network of wireless access in the Park is digital, broadband, fibre-optical and grouping. fibre-optical business network is to be deployed soon.

8) Post 

A post office will be set up in the Park. To link to the local area network, a modular system of 12,000 lines is to be built for the transmission of all the information. Communication pipes are to be laid under the road in the preliminary area.

9) Human Resources 

Close to urban area, Micro-electronic Industrial Park (Jinnan) , TEDA, can share human resources of the municipality. Tianjin University , Nankai University , University of Science and Engineering, and other universities and scientific research institutes are situated in southern part of the city.
