NOVOZYMES (CHINA) BIOTECHNOLOGY CO., LTD(hereinafter abbreviated as Tianjin Novozymes) was registered in 1994 in TEDA, which is a high-tech professional company engaged in developing, producing and selling enzymes for food and industrial. Since the production in 1998, the company is able to produce the broad range of enzymes including the most advanced detergent enzymes of industry, food and animal feed, which are applied in the fields of food, brewing, and detergent industry. The company has been regarded as NO 1 in the list of "TEDA Top 10 Best Environment Friendly Enterprises" in the continuous 3 years. In the year of 2000, the company increased the investment of 90 million RMB to increase the production capacity of 33% of Tianjin Company. The investment increasing is one crucial step of Novozymes to develop Tianjin Novozymes as the global strategic production base. By approved of the new project, the total investment of Tianjin Novozymes has reached 1,100 million RMB. Besides, Tianjin Novozymes established a R&D branch in Novozymes China headquarter, which is installed the first-class biotechnological experimental equipment, specialized for developing the core technology of Novozymes.
Tianjin Novozymes is the 3rd strategic enzymes production base of Novozymes in China besides the investment in Denmark and US. Since 2000, Tianjin Novozymes started the expansion construction, and production this April, which includes the newly installed 5 fermentation tanks and equipment for extraction, granulation, and wastewater treatment.
