TEDA's aerospace industry, represented by China's next-gen carrier rocket, is located in the West Zone of TEDA.

Involving 6 billion yuan of investment, the next-gen carrier rocket project include the production, experiment, general assembly testing area, and other related facilities for 5-meter-diameter launch vehicles. Based on the next-gen rocket facility, China's next-gen aerospace city will also take shape in the foreseeable future to better participate in the competition of international launching tasks and showcase China's aerospace capacity. Upon completion, this base will be able to carry out new product R&D, large component production, verification tests, general assembly and general testing. Its presence will help build China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) into one of the world's leading aerospace agencies.

Apart form the carrier rocket base, aircraft manufacturing and application industrial base, and unmanned aircraft and environmental equipment base successively settled down in the TBNA. Each of them represents a latest technology field of China's aerospace industry. Based on these early birds, TBNA will become a magnate for more aero projects. Today, thanks to the rocket base, a new aerospace cluster is now taking shape in the TBNA.

The influence of the rocket base has already reached more projects. A batch of civilian projects have inked agreements. The eye-catching aircraft manufacturing and application industrial base, and unmanned aircraft and environmental equipment base have kicked off construction in the TBNA. Currently, Tianjin Aerospace Long March Rocket Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Tianjin Aerospace Long March Technology Development Co., Ltd., Tianjin Aerospace Hydraulic Pressure Equipment Co., Ltd., Tianjin Shenzhou Technology Development Co., Ltd., Tianjin Aerospace Shenzhou Satellite Application Co., Ltd., Tianjin Aerospace Shenzhou Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., Tianjin Aerospace Beidou Technology Development Co., Ltd., Aerospace Shenzhou Environment Engineering Co., Ltd., Aerospace Shenzhou Aircraft Co., Ltd., Tianjin Shenzhou General Data Technology Co., Ltd., Aerospace Age Property Development (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. have either registered or officially launched operation.
